Our 2011-13 Supporter Woodland

This woodland covers an area of 6.3 hectares. It is adjacent to and extends an area of woodland planted in 2008 at nearby Parlour Barn and also links to other smaller areas of native broadleaf woodland in the area.

A mixture of native broadleaf species have been planted, including large proportions of Hawthorn (15%), Oak (16%), Ash (16%) and Downy Birch (10%), along with smaller proportions of species including Alder, Rowan, Holly, Bird Cherry, Goat Willow and Blackthorn. In total, 6750 trees have been planted on the site.

It has been funded through your donations as well as money from YDMT, the Forestry Commission and the land owner.

Access: There is a public right of way adjacent to the site but no access through it.

You can download an information sheet about Harrison's Woodland, which includes directions to the woodland and maps, from the resources section of our website here.

PLEASE NOTE: The woodland is situated on private land - perimeter access only is allowed.
