New House Farm

New House Farm is part of the Dales Farmers in Education project and offers fun, engaging curriculum based visits and activities for schools.

New House Farm is a National Trust owned farm situated beyond Malham in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The farm consists of superb hay meadows, grazing pastures and limestone cliff on and around the farm, and is so rich in flora that it was declared a National Nature Reserve in 2000.

The hay meadows at New House Farm are considered to be some of the finest in the Yorkshire Dales and as such the farm is of considerable importance to nature conservation.

Livestock on the farm consists of sheep and cattle. The sheep are pure bred Lleyn sheep and Blue grey cows and the farm, which is organic, still maintains traditional farming techniques from the 1950’s.
