Lower Winskill Farm

Lower Winskill Farm is part of the Dales Farmers in Education project and offers fun, engaging curriculum based visits and activities for schools.

Lower Winskill Farm is located in the spectacular limestone landscape of Upper Ribblesdale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, set in an ancient landscape.

Today the farm practices ‘High Nature Value Farming’. It was the first farm in the National Park to begin farm scale restoration of wild flower rich hay meadows, and currently hosts an innovative butterfly conservation programme.

Lower Winskill holds a nationally important archaeological collection from caves in the Dales, especially the Ice Age and Roman period material from the Victoria Cave.

Download the Lower Winskill Farm profile for more information about the farm, activities, location and contact details.
