A lovely route from Halton Gill along the river to Foxup and on towards Litton (moderate incline) enjoying great views down the valley, before returning to Halton Gill on the riverside, passing through some exceptional wildflower hay meadows which should be in full bloom.

YDMT’s Hay Time project officer Tanya St. Pierre will lead the walk and share her knowledge of the flowers, fine grasses and pollinating insects.

The route includes some inclines and narrow stiles and may be uneven, rocky or muddy in places. Please make sure you wear appropriate sturdy footwear and dress for a typical summer's day in the Dales - waterproofs, sun cream and insect repellent!

Please bring a packed lunch.
