Conservation, Arts & Crafts, Walk, Flowers of the Dales Festival, Kids Stuff

Teeming with wildlife and a riot of colour, flower rich hay meadows are truly special. Join us in celebrating the delights of a summer’s meadow with wildflower walks, talks and bug hunting activities (weather permitting). Discover what’s being done to protect and restore these precious places – and find out how you can help.

Local artist Jill Kirk will also be attending with her mobile press. Join her to create prints using grasses and flowers picked from the wildflower meadow (see image above).

This event is part of National Meadows Day, which aims to highlight the importance of hay meadows and their conservation, to ensure their safety for future generations. Nethergill Eco Farm is the ideal venue to immerse yourself in the natural world and learn about conservation farming.

Homemade refreshments available, or bring a picnic.
